The Process

When building your new Southern Home there are many things to consider. Few are more important than securing financing to buy your new home. Don’t worry, we’re here to help. We are not lenders, but we have several preferred, third-party lenders from which to choose. We can help buyers with down payments savings plans and those who may have had credit challenges in the past. Here’s a brief breakdown of the type of process you can expect:

1) Go to your nearest Southern Homes' community and select a home, select a home site and a preliminary loan program. Your New Home Specialist will help qualify you right there and then!

2) Contact the lender and become approved

3) Collect your documentation

4) Submit your paperwork; qualify for down payment assistance, Impout for rebates or other benefits

5) Close a construction-perm loan or secure permanent financing

6) Build your home

7) Convert to permanent financing

8) Receive your keys, move in, and enjoy your new Southern Home
